Even though my garden was a complete failure (only produced three tomatoes), I have been working on other green goals. One that I thought would be impossible and expensive turned out to be neither.
I have pretty much simplified my make-up routine to just concealer and mascara (I will wear eye shadow, eyeliner and blush on occasion but not every day) and since I switched my concealer a few months back, I was dreading looking for a new mascara. My stand-by has been Mary Kay or everyone's favorite Great Lash by Maybelline. I have long thin lashes that require a lash curler so I need something that helps them look not so thin.
From what everyone was telling me, I was going to have to pay good money for an all-natural mascara. Which was SO not the case. One Friday night, I was shopping without my child and decided to look through the cosmetic aisle at Fred Meyer. I was so exited to see that Physicians Formula has two 100% natural original mascara options that hold the ECOCERT certification (though neither is listed on the cosmetic database). Retail value on the Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara was $9 which was easier to shell out that the $30 I thought I was going to be facing.
I was thinking to myself, this stuff probably isn't going to work well with my long, thin eyelashes -- boy was I wrong. This stuff was better than my ole stand-bys. It does live up to offering big, thick, dramatic lashes as the packaging suggests!
Now my daily beauty routine is natural and I can't wait to try other products through the Physicians Formula Organic Wear line.
P.S. I have no affiliation with any of the products/companies/organizations mentioned in this post
